Comparison Between Fetal Biometric Measurements (BPD, HC and FL) of Male and Female Fetuses in Population of Pakistan on Antenatal Ultrasound, A Multicentric Study

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the fetal biometric growth measurements (Head Circumference, Bi-Parietal Diameter, and Femur Length) between male female fetuses on antenatal ultrasound in our population. Methodology: This an observational carried out Department Radiology CMH Malir, Karachi Ziauddin hospital, from July 2016 till 2018 using non-probability sampling technique. A total 510 pregnant women with second third trimester were enrolled for study. parameters fetus i.e., Head Length established through two-dimensional ultrasound. Chi-square t tests used analyze differences both genders. Results: results showed significant Diameter Circumference (p=0.006 p=0.003, respectively). Mean males 71.47±13.70 females it was68.30±11.90cm, mean 264.23±47.87and 252.03±44.91cm. It has also been observed that there insignificant difference femur length (p= 0.605). 52.74±12.39 52.19±11.38 females.
